"This is one of the few festivals that actually like filmmakers, unlike most that just screen your film and kick you out right after. I highly recommend this festival...had a lot of fun last year, great venue and organizers with a great host."
- Vlad Nikitin, Director, 'Grand Chinatown Robbery'

Patty McCormack Lifetime Achievement Award
The Studio City Film Festival is honoring Patty McCormack with its 12th Annual Lifetime Achievement Award. Patty's career spans seven decades and is still going strong! We will show clips, do an interview and present her with the award.
The Donald E. Lacy, Jr Social Justice Award
Social Justice is a passion of the Studio City Film Festival organizers. The Fair Housing Federation of Southern California is a non-profit that is also affiliated with the festival, and started by Steve Sturla and James Woodson in 2016. Back in 2017, we created the Social Justice Award, in honor of a film that best embodies that message. We wanted to name the award after an individual who is an entertainer and also a champion of social justice. And, so we named the award after Donald Lacy., who is an actor/comedian who started the LoveLIfe Foundation of Oakland, to honor the memory of his cherished daughter, Loeshe, a victim of gang violence.
THE AWARDS!!!
The filmmaker awards are given out after the awards honroring Lifetime Achievent and Social Justice (by the way, the people in the picture from 2023, left to right, are Glynn Turman, Richard Lawson, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and Steve Sturla).
