We are pleased to honor Actor/Director Richard Lawson with the 2023 Studio City Film Festival Lifetime Achievement Award.

Richard has had an amazing career that has spanned over 50 years, with performances in movies and television, including Grey's Anatomy, Being Mary Jane, Soul Food, Touched by an Angel, Wag the Dog, All My Children (132 episodes), Dynasty, St. Elsewhere, Magnum, P.I., Poltergeist, The White Shadow, Coming Home, Dirty Harry, and on and on. 

 

Richard also served 21 months in Vietnam as a medic. Currently, he is a master teacher at his theater, WACO Theater Center in North Hollywood. Most recently, he acts and directs in the film "Black Terror" which will screen prior to the Awards Show on Sept. 7th.
